Weird category:

I'm standing outside after the Richmond show - 11/1/85 - and a guy and his friend come up to me and my friend and start small talk about the show. Then he says to me "Want to see something funny?" with that real crazy look in his eye. I'm getting a really weird vibe and don't reply. He reaches down and pulls off his fake leg. He holds it up and says "Thats f'd up isn't it?" looking for a response and wanting an answer. Not sure if the guy is going to snap or what, I am totally stunned. I just stare at him, scared shit. After a few tense seconds, he starts yelling and jumping up and down. Luckily, the crowd is exiting and totally going banannas from the show they just saw. The guy is distracted and we slip off into the flow of the crowd. My friend and I just look at each other in relief but can not believe it really happened. I know it was real but still.......

No wonder Richmond didn't want the Dead back in town. Makes the locals crazy......

OK those are both really funny!

That's the kind of stuff that just happened to us and it happened all the time. And we LOVED it! They just make great stories to tell and add to the convoluted fabric of our lives.

And no one will ever beleive us.... :-)
